Default Sunshine Coast Meetups?

Hi folks...Is there any sunshine coast meetup's planned in the near future?

We have just moved into a rented house in Peregian Springs and now looking to get to meet some people round the area.

Hi there,
I was looking at the meet ups section just yesterday wondering the same thing!
I know a couple of English families at Peregian Springs. How are you settling in?
I would be keen for a meet up. They usually happen in Caloundra but maybe we should arrange one further North?

Hi Kulu,

Yeah we have settled in fine...really suprised how quickly really. We arrived in Brisbane Mar 20th - came up to Noosa a few days later and I got a job a week and half ago. My wife is still waiting to hear back on one job. We moved into Peregian just over a week ago and our shipment got delivered this week so we are settled now. Just planning now how to get out and meet some people.

We are certainly up for a drink one night if you or anyone else is up for it? What's a good location - one of the surf clubs or something?

It depends what you're into. Do you have children? Do you like some entertainment with your drink? A nice view? Food? I've not been to Peregian surf club but have been to the park by it for markets and the odd breakfast barbie. Coolum surf club is ok, a bit of a meat market at weekends but where isn't?!

No kids but we wouldnt have a problem with somewhere that is kid friendly. Entertainment, food, view all sound good. We haven't tried Peregian Surf club yet but been to Sunshine beach and Coolum and both are great so any would be fine by us.

Sorry I've been a bit slow to reply, I was hoping a few more people would spot this thread and hopefully fancy meeting up. We're pretty easy and can get babysitters if needed or not depending where we go.

Will speak to my husband and get some ideas

Hi all,
We were really interested to read the posts about meeting new people on the Sunshine Coast.
We (Becks, Nick, and kids (Charlotte and Spencer) moved to Buderim in February and are loving it! We are really keen to meet new people around here as at the moment the kids have a better social life than we do...oh the shame!
We posted on here a few weeks ago and have met some lovely families and had some good nights and days out!
If anyone would like to meet just PM us and we can arrange something and swap migration stories!
Look forward to hearing from fellow sunshine-coasters!
Becks xx

Hi,

I usually organise the meets as i know a few POMS around here and advertise it in the British Sweetie Shop in Caloundra and we usually have them here as people do come up form Brisbane and further south so we are in the middle.

I have been here a couple of years now and love it and am fair dinkum surfing, camping ozzy.

My friend a pom actually works as a nurse in Buderim medical centre too you may have bumped into her.

I am happy to come along and bring a few people with me. One of the best things to do is if you play a team sport such as football, hockey, netball etc then join a team. A lot of socialising is done around sport, church and the beach such as the surf clubs.

So see you then

Cx

Well, lets just plan one. I've got the in-laws over for the next 3 weeks so I would appreciate it if it was after that but otherwise I'm easy!
