Smile Sunshine Coast house prices, gone up or down in last year (07-08)

Hi Guys

How have house prices faired in the last year on the Sunshine Coast? Have they gone up or down?

We are looking at potentially buying a house (Pelican Waters) that cost $700,000 last year, what should we expect to pay at auction a year later. Some agents advise that prices have dropped by 15%, is this true?

Thanks

I dont know about house prices, but the Job market is about to get significantly worse.

100's of jobs, at places like Ford, and places that supply Ford, and Meat processing places. There is always a major spill on effect in Aus when this happens. Not a good time to be taking on debt.

There's certainly a bright future for bailiffs & debt collectors over the next few years. I may retrain as one, either that or funeral directing

i WOULDNT say they have gone down in price but then again they are certainly not going up niether. I think this is the cause of the stagnant market at the moment. not much selling . buyer not prepared to pay asking price seller not prepared to drop
