Default Suburbs in Queensland

I was wondering about suburbs to live in in Queensland. I am originally from Melbourne and currently live in the UK and we were thinking of coming back to QUeensland but don't know where to go.

Which suburbs are recommended and have good schools?
Which ones have cheap property?
Can you build in Queensland as well?

Thanks Kate

Kate,

Queensland is a HUGE place, did you have any particular city/town in mind to help narrow the search down a little ?

Hi
Were not there yet! But hubby got a job in Toowoomba QLD, 100kms west of Brisbane. For me it seems great. It's cooler than Brisbane so that would suit me as I am used to Manchester!
Its got shopping malls!
Looks fantastic, lots of parks, tree lined streets, good education and university (so I believe).
Property seems inexpensive, and you can build there.
take a look at www.toowoomba.com, got loads of info.
Supposed to get cold though in winter, but I can handle that.

We are flying out 1st september so I will keep you posted.
This is just my opinion from what research I have done and Info I have been sent from hubby employer etc...
