Subclass 190 two years waiting for Centerlink benefits
Hi,
For newly arrived residents, there is a waiting period of two years to get NSW Centerlink benefits e.g. NewStart
My question is
1. If I lived for one year in Australia and one year in my other country, would it count towards waiting period ? Or do I have to spent two year in Australia only after first arrival in Australia ? The human services website is very unclear about it.
2. Does getting centerlink payment e.g. NewStart puts some issue in your Citizenship ?

People will reply WHEN they have time and IF they have any information. You have made 7 posts and like most posters from 'your country' once you have the visa information you require for free and supplied by well meaning volunteers, you'll never be heard of on here again.
This is a community of expats helping helping each other. I'm fed up with reading posts that 'demand' a response. If you want quicker information, put your hand in your pocket and pay for it.

Migrants are expected to be self sufficient and not come here to collect benefits.

You move to Aus, you get a job and live here with your own money. If you stay two years then you can look into getting benefits if you need to.

YOu have to reside in this country for at least 2 years but please do not come here and expect to live off the taxes of normal hard working folks. We have enough white trash bogans as it is in this country.
