Studying in Perth or Bunbury???
#1
Hi all,
Here's the thing, my family and i were all set to undertake the risky student visa path (horticulture and landscaping) in Perth (Murdoch TAFE).
We have two sets of friends already in Perth so the transition was going to be a little bit easier for all concernerd.
However if the landscaping comes of the MODL we will be short of 5 points for PR.
Do we risk it or do we go to Bunbury and get the extra 5 points (studying in a regional area) just in case?
Also rent seems a lot cheaper in Bunbury, thus helping our situation even more.
The answer seems obvious but i dont know Bunbury at all really, unlike Perth which i have visited several times.
Any thoughts/experience/advice of Bunbury would be GREATLY appreciated.
Are there any major differences between studying at Bunbury or Murdoch?
Is there more landscaping/gardening/nursery work in Perth or Bunbury?
Someone told me there was a better chance of finding work in this field (exscuse the pun) in Bunbury! Why? Is it because its more rural?
We have 3 boys ages 5,3 and 1, will there be enough in Bunbury for my family?
Sorry for the questions overload
Thanks in advance

If our course ran further South of Perth we'd go there but I can only say that because we like Busselton, Dunsborough, Bunbury areas and we've visited a few times.

No it is with a private college called Silver Trowel. Going to give it a shot. I am 42 so my last chance plus we have our little boy to consider. We're doing it all for him. We have family in Perth too who we want to spend more than 3 weeks of every year with.
Done quite a bit of research. Yes, the construction industry has been hit bad but if you can dig deep enough and keep asking there does seem to be some work there. My brother also has a few contacts for me so fingers crossed.
What's your plans?
