Default Study & stay ??

Hi,
Just wondered if many of you are planning on going down the study & stay route to get a visa ? Could anyone give me some more info on how viable this would be for a family of 5 to do ??

With thanks
Louise

We came on a student visa initially and it is extremely expensive. You have to pay for your child's education even if they go to the local state school, can't remember how much it was but I think it was in the order of $6000 per year per child. Fortunately (and too long a story to tell) we got permanent residency as I don't think we could have afforded to stay otherwise, having said that, if I had my time again, I would still have made the move and taken the risk.
