I'm really struggling to find accommodation in Perth to suit our circumstances.

partner already there, working full time, finishes 11pm so need to be near transport. (I can't pick him up with our 18 month old daughter)

Relocating from NSW, juggling a break lease here with moving to Perth, can afford weekly rent of $500 week but the won't have the bond until end of March. Relocating from a remote area after partner laid off here.

We have an opportunity for a holiday let at $650 week but that will hinder saving the bond.

This is a big ask but I am desperate, if you know of anywhere available for a few weeks that is affordable and would accept a deposit of say $800 please let me know.

Feeling guilty spending so much time on the laptop and having my daughter ini front of the tv, something I've never done. Would be great to give her my full attention again and not be stressed out shouty mummy!

Where about in perth is your Partner working? (cos that will have a big impact on areas recommended due to transport restrictions)

Yep, that's one of the problems we have. He works in the City but even if there is a train that leaves after 11pm there are no buses in the suburbs after the trains get in - if that makes sense.

I've phoned Transperth who've confirmed that too. Basically we need to be either central or near the train (walking distance) somewhere like Clarkson maybe.

I am hoping it's worth it when I get there, beginning to think it's perhaps not the right move!

I'm assuming that because you have a young daughter you want a house (or at very least a townhouse) rather than an apartment, so my suggestion is to focus your initial searches for accomodation on Bayswater, Victoria Park and Claremont (Claremont is the most expensive of these suburbs and you will probably only be able to get a townhouse there for your budget).

But all three of them are major interchanges for both trains and buses - Bayswater is east of CBD, Vic Park is south of CBD and Claremont is west of CBD.

All three offer multiple train/ bus options from the CDB late at night.

Get yourself on www.reiwa.com.au or www.realestate.com.au and have a look at what's available rentalwise then plug the addresses of any houses you like the look of into www.transperth.wa.gov.au, set the journey time for after 2300 and see what pops up. You might be pleasantly surpised by them.

All three have a reasonable amount of rental properties available (Claremont has the least number of affordable rentals cos its the most expensive of the 3)

Also all three suburbs are close enough that your husband could actually cycle to and from work thereby cutting out public transport altogether (And there are dedicated cycle paths to Bayswater and Vic Park as well) so he wouldnt have to contend with the crazy Perth drivers.

Sorry I dont know of any specific properties but hope the above helps to get you started.

The other option is that as your husband is already here in Perth, get him to ask around the company he is working in or put a flyer up on one of the notice boards in his office. Maybe one of his collegues has a friend or relative that of knows of (or owns) a suitable property.
