Strange things AUSSIES say ??
Last time we were in Brissy we clocked up a few miles or K's ....
and when lost we would often pull up the "pink vitara (wengers car )" and ask politely
excuse me mate how fars SYDNEY, bearing in mind we were in Brissy.... thoughtful pondering he replied ... "bout 5 minutes that way mate"
Seemed over a few weeks when ever we asked how far is such n such or where is such n such everythin was 5 minutes that way or this way !!!!
Anyone else notice these peculiarities !!

Around this way they give directions in country ks.....
1 country k = about 10 town ks!
So if you are in the country and someone says its a couple of ks down the road its more like 20...

yep Is it cos distance is simpler to qtfy in time than miles etc??
