Last night had what you would call a phone interview, actually turned into a formal chat Problem i have is prospective employer is unsure about work permits, he can`t seem to get answers from immigration about permits. I have decided to email him the process as well as references from work and personnel Do you think i have done the right thing or do you think he will view me as a smart arse
Any thoughts appreciated.

Good on you. This is what happened to Rob and in the end we sent his now boss-to-be the website address for immigration and options open for him. This may sound daft but it worked. In the end there's no point ringing up immigration as they take forever. At least the website lets you peruse information with all the forms available too.
