I have considered enlisting experts to help with setting up the business but especially because it's so early-stage (lots of work needed to build the web site, etc) I'm terrified that experts might see it's potential, nab the idea and get it to market before I can.

Email Mrs Jackaroo. She's a lovely lovely Welsh lady (strange I know) who's got her own web design business. She rarely comes on here now but you can get her through her profile. She'll probably be happy to give you some advice, tell her I sent you, she can abuse me later if she wants.

Now that is just freaky! I NEVER come on here anymore and for some reason something drew me to this thread today - thats beyond weird!!

Abuse you... me?!! As if! haha

Of course... more than happy to help if I can - I've just read all the thread - definitely get a .com.au domain for Australia - helps with both search engine results and retaining your visitors (as they know for sure its an aussie website... very important over here!)

I run the web design business, have a reseller hosting account (and so register domains etc), and also teach web design... if I can help at all just shout! :)

And whats so strange about a welsh lady being lovely young lady?!! haha

Thank you for that link. Some useful info! My little e-commerce store has been 'open' for almost four weeks now, and I have been blown away with how well it has gone so far! I was hoping for two or three sales per week to start with, but I am doing that per day! Still tweaking the design of the website, adding products and trying to get my head around Adwords and SEO, but so far so good!

It is here if you want a look!

Well done.
That's excellent.
Very easy on the eye.

I find a lot of websites, not just shopping, overclutter their pages which detract from the objective.

For what you're looking for IPowerWeb is very good. I've been with them for several years now with my personal web site and they've always been very good - not badly priced either. A feature that I like is being able to live chat with them for answers to questions, configuration issues, etc. I'm not sure if they're quite good enough for my "loads of bells and whistles" business idea though. Busy setting up the company structure, IP, etc right now but identifying a suitable host is on my todo list.

Hi, thanks. :) I've managed to get most of the answers that I need for now and also busy caught up on a ton of other things. Busy busy here ...and I haven't even got a job yet

Having been raised in Wales I can confirm that there's nothing wrong with the Welsh  It's those people from Milton Keynes that we've gotta watch out for :sneaky:;)
