Email Mrs Jackaroo. She's a lovely lovely Welsh lady (strange I know) who's got her own web design business. She rarely comes on here now but you can get her through her profile. She'll probably be happy to give you some advice, tell her I sent you, she can abuse me later if she wants.

Abuse you... me?!! As if! haha Of course... more than happy to help if I can - I've just read all the thread - definitely get a .com.au domain for Australia - helps with both search engine results and retaining your visitors (as they know for sure its an aussie website... very important over here!) I run the web design business, have a reseller hosting account (and so register domains etc), and also teach web design... if I can help at all just shout! :) And whats so strange about a welsh lady being lovely young lady?!! haha |
Re: Starting an internet business In Australia
Just realised that it sounds like I'm trying to sell my wares (that being domain name registration etc!! haha)... that wasn't my angle at all sorry - was just saying that thats what I do on a daily basis and so I've got some experience in it if you need any advice :)

Re: Starting an internet business In Australia
That's excellent. Very easy on the eye. I find a lot of websites, not just shopping, overclutter their pages which detract from the objective. |

For what you're looking for IPowerWeb is very good. I've been with them for several years now with my personal web site and they've always been very good - not badly priced either. A feature that I like is being able to live chat with them for answers to questions, configuration issues, etc. I'm not sure if they're quite good enough for my "loads of bells and whistles" business idea though. Busy setting up the company structure, IP, etc right now but identifying a suitable host is on my todo list.
