Bring a few power boards, and just change a single plug on the lead to those.

That will keep you going to begin with, until you can get round to changing all the plugs. But also bring some spare fuses, they don't have fuses here.

The socket boards will also be useful for a long time for those products that have an adaptor plug that you cannot change, and are to expensive to buy again.

Congratulations Debsy on getting to the point that you are almost here.
Great idea ... my computer-related stuff would've required a LOT of new plugs ... how about fridges, washing machines etc .. does Australia have the sames standard fittings too?

No fuses?????? Really? Do you mean that the Oz plugs have fuses built in or just that they don't have any at all? I've seen loads of comments about making sure everything is surge protected but is that because the plugs are not fused or have I totally mis-read you?

The voltage etc is the same in OZ as it is in UK, so ALL your electrical goods will work OK with the electric supply over here.

There are NO fuses in any Australian plugs. I read that everything is double insulated so it doesn't need fuses. ? I only did one year of my Electrical Apprenticeship, so not enough for me to follow the logic there

The plugs are not the same layout, this
web page shows you what the OZ plug looks like.

We are going skilled independent and we submitted the 47sk beginning of April. Had meds this week, just waiting for blood tests to come back and they will go off. Meds were unrequested so will have to wait up on Sunday night to phone Adelaide for our Ref/ file no.

Last time we phoned, they were really nice.
