Folks,

When you buy a house you have to pay stamp duty of approx 5% (in Victoria) of the house value. This can be a considerable sum of money!

Does anyone know if you can include this as part of the mortgage loan amount or do you have to come up with it out of your own pockets.

Also anyone living in Melbourne...what's the local word on Burwood????
