Spousal Visa's ( off shore applications )

Hi my name is Gerard. Currently my wife and I have lodged an application in Pretoria, South Africa for her to come to Australia on a spousal visa
We realize that a lot of couples are in this predicament and a lot of posts have been put up on this subject We would like to communicate with other couples that are either seeking this type of visa ( especially from South Africa ) or other couples that are about to do the same
We need to understand the processing procedure in order to fully understand the waiting period and the time we have to be separated .
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated
