speeding ticket in NZ

Hi

I've just received a speeding ticket through the post from when I visited NZ 6 weeks ago.It says to send a cheque for $170 does anybody know how I send Dollars with a UK cheque book?

If you ask your bank they will (for a fee of course!) make you out a foreign bankers draft for the $170, made out to whoever you want.
