As many of you know. Me and the wife are looking to move to GC next year. We have been looking at Southport. I know some say its not the best/not for them. But as i said we are looking. So whats the deal with Benowa Road. I have seen a few houses for sale around that area. Why? Is there something wrong with Benowa Road? Opinions please.

It's like anywhere. Goes in fits and starts - not the road the real estate market. We are on a brilliant road, didn't have any for sale for months and now have 5, nothing going on though. Southport's ok and Benowa's nice so I'd have thought that Benowa Road in Southport was fine

In a word, Nothing!
its one of the best streets in the area
it has a shopping center on it, that puts most people off

How's it goin' big yin! I live at the Benowa Rd/Cotlew St Roundabout and i'll be looking there or thereabouts for a place to buy once this lease is up.its one of the better places around this area Nice houses and a view of he Golf Course is possible,and its handy for a night at Surfers ect.

PM Auspal for info on the area as she stays nearby and has been here for years.
Arundel is another nice area from what ive seen.

Nice on mate. Just bought a new set of clubs today. Will be up to check out that areas. BTW auspal. The wife will be with me.

Jockstar,Golf is my handicap,i took it up before i left but have only been out a few times.
