If its the right thing for you, then maybe one day you'll get the chance to go again. Australia will always be there. In the meantime, best of luck for the future....

So sorry Sue

I'm really shocked, must admit this emigrating lark tests a relationship from my own experience.

Maybe it's meant to be for now life is a major learning curve

Sue, sorry to read your story but as a few have said emigrating can be very hard for your relationship as we all have different expectations and stress levels - and it is a very stressful time. Also I know what it is like to have twins (mine are now 8) - don't know how old yours are - but they can be hard work and the first few years are tiring and stressful too - so all this put together makes for an extremely stressful time which is bound to take its toll. Just get things clear in your mind before giving up on everything.

Good luck, Dawn

again, thanks for all the messages of support.......they have really really helped me a lot.
we are now on speaking terms, but it is still very raw for him, and he hurts like hell, but we are talking rationally at last. He has made it quite clear there is no way he would allow me to leave the uk and take the kids.....so the Oz dream is out the window, but it doesnt mean i cant have holidays does it?

Could you not both still go to Oz and then go your seperate ways when you get there? I don't see why everybody has to miss out on the chance of a future......just an idea.
