Gotta agree that surf pic is great Pete, add some more if you have them, I remember being in the UK and seeing these sorts of pics always inspired us towards our goal of making it to OZ and now we're here to take our own (when the weather picks up maybe, its like being back in England at the moment!!)
Glittababe (or anyone else in SC) as you're in a similar place to us do you have a list of the best places to take kids out to (we have a 2 and 5 year old) we're finding it a little difficult to entertain them when its not warm enough for the beach and we're a bit stuck as to where to go thats cheap or free that appeals to all of us!. Hi there, very difficult when its chilly hey? We go to the Reef hotel for a bite to eat and let the kids run wild and play games in the rangers room! Today we took them for brekky down the river, followed by a game of AFL to warm up then to Noosa 5 cinema to watch Pirates. Now home to cook a roast! Can't be any more help. Last year we tried to go away as much as possible at the weekends (as weekends were free from shifts then). I know it is cold but you can wrap up warm and take them for some walks. North shore, the national park, Buderim state forest, Kenilworth forest and fig tree walk. We always take a picnic wherever we go! XXX
Pete post some more pics they're bloody fantastic! Walked them up to the marina near Tewantin today (quite nice if anybody visits here they should check it out) and back along the river, had to manouvre past the park though as my 5yr old has a broken arm from falling there so that limits us to!!! Might try the National park tomorrow or Monday if the weather holds. Good luck with the pics I could just imagine them selling at Eumundi market. |

Thanks for the reply, yes it IS difficult when the weathers dodgy especially as they need pushing round everywhere in the trolley!.

NP not really suited to strollers - although you can up to Dolphin Point nicely. How about taking the ferry across to North Shore with a picnic? Wrap up warm though and don't go on a windy day (sand stings like hells whilst getting sand blasted)! Harbour markets on a Sunday at Tewantin? Peregian Originals on alternate Sundays from 1.30pm behind the surf club at Peregian Beach? Lots of bands playing, food and drink available, money raised goes to the surf club (you buy raffle tickets). Ummmmm, can't think of anything else! |

Beautiful! Looks how I feel here - bloody cold! Eumundi is 15 mins from Noosa in the hinterland, huge markets there twice a week, 10,000 tourists flock there on a Saturday alone! I work in Eumundi and my littlens go to school there, fab place if not a little hiccy!

not quite sure how it started  friends saw them on my computer and asked to buy, think it kinda went from there! Southbank markets are pretty popular, always worth a go. Have you tried a digi photography club? Quite often photographs from club members are put in exhibitions/websites etc

Some fabulous shots - we're heading out to the SC in 7 weeks after a year of what feels like torment - now packing up and completely exhausted having worried myself to a frazzle about the move and then actually getting everything done ( there's five of us - me, husband, three teenagers and dog) just panicking today that I'll be wiped out by the time we get there to function properly. Your pics have really inspired me and can't wait to back there seeing it for myself - thanks.

Occasionally! Don't make enough at the moment as I don't have the energy to combine working with photography (oh to be rich)! Also, said OH has 'lost' thousands of my pics  He removed them from the computer as they were taking up too much space! He said he'd put them onto a seperate hardrive. Have examined harddrive in depth and nothing there! So cross

Fifi, take your time and just chill out! I had the unthinkable happen days before we were due to fly! I collapsed with abdo pain. Spent 5 hrs in theatre having a ruptured ovarian cyst and appendix sorted out! It happened the night before we were due to move out of the house and pack the container! Poor Mark had to do it all himself. I spent 6 days vomiting in the hospital alone. We were then told I couldn't fly for 6 weeks so had to postpone the flights! What a nightmare that was! So just chill, relax, get him, crash out from exhaustion then start living again! |

So just chill, relax, get him, crash out from exhaustion then start living again! Not many snaps from today, but a very cute koala in the NP. Didn't do much as our 8 year old went walkabout so we spent 15 frantic minutes searching for him before finding him by the car! Might get his eyes tested as he said he couldn't find us and thought we'd left him! |
