Default Smoggy stuff.

Sorry not a thrilling thread. WINDOWS.

First its been incredibly hot then incredibly wet then incedibly humid now its quite cold.

Result is the windows are sort of foggy and greasy. Tried cleaning them with metho, wonder window spray, hosing them down, rippin out the flyscreens and trying all again. But 2 days later they just look foggy and filmy again.

Could not usually give a stuff, but its Real Estate time. How do you keep windows clean in this climate??

No, its inside and out, some sort of film that just keeps coming back no matter what you do. Something to do with the damp air maybe?

Anyway its really annoying, I want the houses to look clean and thats not possible with foggy looking windows.

Wipe windows with slightly damp newspaper.

I was always told to add vinegar to a bucket of warm water then dry the windows with newspaper.
Haven't tried it myself though

My husband has a bit of a window cleaning fetish and the cheap spray from Coles (blue stuff) and paper towels do the trick in our house. Dunno about the re-occuring film - sounds a bit spooky:scared:

Bucket of water with just a very tiny drop of washing up liquid in it , wash down with a sponge - dry off with scrunched up newspapers. The window cleaners you can buy I've found do not do the job as well.- waste of money.

The thrills of cleaning windows
cheers
