Hi all, well its time for the long awaited validation trip !!!!! yipee!!!!!:

We set off tommorrow via dubai to bangkok fro 3 days then hit oz.
We will be in sydney 21st may and then up to brisbane from 25th until 9th June.
We will visit friends in singapore on the way home.

Will try to be online most days to let everyone know how we are getting on.

We got back on the 7th may from oz (we just spent 2 weeks there and got to see hubbys family for a few days). The weather in Brisbane and Sydney was fantastic as they were having a warm autumn, so hopefully will be nice for you too.
Take it you are flying with emirates as well. We did as well but wish like you guys that we had included a stopover to break up the journey.
Well have a fantastic trip and take care.

Hi all, the journey so far......

Well we left glasgow it wa the typical rainy day and bloody freezin too.

Flight to dubai was great as it was half empty so we could stretch along the four seats and sleep .movie choice was good and so was the meal.

The flight from dubai was not that great jam packed and not the newest of planes we had only choice of 4 films and not like the previous 100 Jordan was a bit disappointed!!.But never mine we were on our way to bangkok another adventure havin never been there before.

we arrive at lunch time to the midday heat 32 degrees. pwhew!!!


hotel upgrade us to suite much to Rickys delight free tea/coffee andcakes during the day and drinks and snacks at night ,it also incuded free gym .

A vist to the grande palace and gem factory the next day and on to patpong market at night eye opener or what!!!!!

The next day we went on the skytrain to a local weekend market. this is were our trip went a bit pear shape.. ME the twat got her purse stolen dont know how/when they are so quick. Well credit card which was still in purse from the nite before and rickys suit buying trip and my bank card.!!!!

A BIT UPSET AS WE ONLY HAD 70 BHATT LEFT WELL AT LEAST WE COULD GET A TUKTUK INTO THE POLICE STATION.

we cancelled our cards and nothing had been taken Thank god. but we dont have a credit card now for Oz.

we will just have to tranfer money over to our other account and pay cash. there goes my spending spree.


I am now sitting in a beautiful shopping mall with versace,gucci etc bummber!!!


never mine off to Sydney tonight lets hope all is well there.

i will update you all on our next leg of our trip soon

We arrived in sydney yesterday but where is the sun i hear ricky say!!

We heading for the circular quay and the opra house /bridge whats that they say Awesome we were out for a few hours and had dinner at the rocks cafe.

we were so knakered that e headed home early and slept until; 10.00 this morning.


Ricky found Golds gym ( THAT WERE HE IS NOW ) for the second time today.

and the chap how owned it told him that we must go to Watsons bay and have lunch at Doyles. Well that we did and it was brillant the view of hte habour and the bridge is beautiful ,Now Ricky wants to stay i said wait till we get to brissy!
Later on we went on the ferry back to the quay and jumped on another and headed to Darling harbour walked around the shops etc and stopped for an iced coffee , the sun was out but a tad windy. We stood out as we were sporting our shorts etc when everybody else was in coats and scarves.. Have they never been to scotland this is not cold.

Jordan wants to sample the IMAX cinema so that were we're off to tonight.

Will see the opera house and bridge at night another aussie must do.

So sorry to hear about the credit card - can't the bank get an emergency issue one to you?

Hi all , DAY3 IN SYDNEY.
we went to bondi beach and did the bondi to cooge coastal walk views were spectacular.
Stopping a few times to chill and take in the sea air. We chatted to a local in the park and discussed the footy etc as you do. He even knew about Dundee united Rickys team .!

We had lunch at the coogee beach hotel and took the bus back to oxford street and some shopping . That night we headed to cockle warf for a lovely meal at an italians over looking the harbour . the lights are amazing.

The next ay we took the ferry to manley and again visited the beach .Ricky put his toe in and quickly removed it as it was blooody freezing.
We admired the apartments which we could never afford 5-6 millon dollars.

and headed back to the city. we headed to the QVB and walked about this beautiful old shoppng mall ,Jordan was hungery so we headed to the food court and had a malaysian maeal.

Back to the hotel for an early night as we were flying to brissy in the morning.

Flight on virgin blue was ok but what a hassle having no credit card nearly never got hire car Ricky manged to sweeet talk the guy into letting us pay cash with the extra liabilty cover (just incaes we ran off with the car). anf we were off down the high way to our new homwe fro thw next 2 weeks.

Got there just before it got dark and quickly went to supermarket to get a few bits to tide us over until we got a better look at the place.


We have know found a shopping mall with everything we need includung internet. so better go the sun is calling
