Default Skippy at dusk

Hi,
We moved up to the hills aroud Perth a couple of weeks ago and while we are amazed at the bird life up here we were stunned to get back yesterday after work and find Skippy and buddy in the garden.. guess all the locals and Aussies will just laugh at what we think is great but these guys were just awesome, about 5 ft tall and as bold as brass, standing 15 feet away and they just ignored us. Beats the squirrels we used to watch.

Cheers

Chris

We get them too, especially one, who we call munchie, most evenings. We also think it's great and it's still a novelty.

My uncle has two use his garden as a route to somewhere and they constantly broke his fence and trampled his flowers, it was always the same place in the fence so he put two gates in and moved his flower beds.

Now they hop through the gates and he closes them afterwards

Just moved in so not had much time to work on the Garden..and it has rained most the time since. All the bottom of the garden where the picture was taken is Native plants so will hopefully look after itself (apart from clearing debris from winter which you ahve to do by law here by December). The upper part of the garden is much more organised. Hopefully the 'roos will prefer the native bit although i might be being a bit optimistic, i am sure some of the vegetables and flowers will end up being desert!! Still, having roos in the garden is great, certainly better than visiting the zoo

Guys being an early starter the novelty about australias icon wore thin the third one I hit, you never see the one you hit its usually second or third in line. My kids still love them but dusk and dawn its like dodging bullets
