Default Skills Assessment and Job Opportunities for AU Migration

I would like to submit my application for assessment of my qualification, but have a small query

I have done my Diploma in Electronics and Radio Engineering from St. Xavier's Technical Institute, Mahim (Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra, India)
This diploma was of two years full time and the eligibility for this diploma was Higher Secondary School (10+2)

I have also done my professional certifications like
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (NT4) in 1998
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in 1998
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in 2001

And i am currently doing my Cisco Security Specialist (CSS1)
(I have completed two papers of those)

the MCSE qualification that i currently have is expired.

I wanted to know do u also consider professional certification for evaluation purposes ( like MCSE, CCNA, CCNP..)

I am also having about more than 4 years experience..(although i dont have certificates ffrom some of the employers)

Should i forward my application thru skills assessment or RPL
Pls advise

I would also like to know abou the job opportunities in Melbourne/Sydney for people with knowledge and certifications of Cisco Systems

Thanks in Advance

certifications do count and you can check out the site of ACS to see how it goes..you don't need an RPL if you have a diploma but it also depends on how many units of IT you had in your electronics diploma. Check www.jobnet.com.au for jobs but jobs are pretty much scarce everywhere at the moment so don't count on it
