Singapore Stopover
Hi all,
Stopping at Singapore for 24 hours in December, can anyone recommend a hotel in the city? Orchard Road area has been highlighted a number of times, Christmas lights are supposed to be amazing.

We stayed in the Holiday Inn Park View in Singapore earlier this year on the way back to pommy land:

It is very close to Orchard Rd and the MRT station. Also it is excellent quality all round and not too expensive. There are buses at the airport that will do the loop and stop at this hotel, then cars at the hotel that will take you back to the airport on demand - they are excellent value also.

We will be staying in the Phoenix, which I believe is on Orchard Road.
it has had good recommendations from here.
