Hi all,
hoping to pick your brains
We are travelling back to UK with trip to France and Germany thrown in. Looking for 2 sim cards to use in our unlocked Optus phones.
We need to phone (rarely) text (more often) and use data for fb, google maps etc. Will need use ofr 6 weeks.
What do people suggest?
TIA

Why not just get a SIM once you get there?
6 weeks means you'll need to get an additional recharge, but that shouldn't be a hassle to arrange and for the moment at least roaming in Europe should be at the same rate as the UK.
You can buy a SIM online so you have something when you land, but in general that's not needed now (and they can be difficult to recharge). eg https://www.amazon.com.au/Prepaid-Si...pe+%28UK+EE%29

I bought a sim from Three (from a 3 mobile shop in the UK) using the Go Roam feature. Popped the sim in my unlocked (Telstra) iPhone and used it (mostly for data) throughout Europe. I use the 20 quid plan (12GB) for 30 days. Works really well.
