Re: shrove tuesday
You need to get a British diary for a Christmas present! No more forgotten Mother's Days / Father's Day's / Pancake days........ that was always a pain finding out I had forgotten things as they are the opposite end of the year out there and getting a sulky phone call from my Mum!!!!!

No not really. Our supermarkets don't even have their names on the carrier bags. Its positively third world.

Mothers day is in May here. Card shops tend to have a UK Mothers Day display with a few crappy cards in March.

Re: shrove tuesday
We seem to have Shrove Tuesday every other weekend here (here being in this particular house before I get jumped on for generalisations ). My girls seem obsessed with making an eggy, floury mess on a Saturday, but they do make exceedingly good pancakes. Just don't tidy up afterwards :curse:
