Some mates came over to Aus (Perth) in their late 50's and got a 35 year house loan. At the time they were on one wage (part time postie).
I'm in IT (Developer) and I'd say that Perth has less jobs available, but then there are even less people to fill them. For $500k you'd find a house within 60mins of the city easily. Perth CBD is still booming. What it'll be like in a bust is anyones guess. |

I'm a proud ping ponger currently living in Oz taking advantage of the better salaries and job opportunities. Will I return to the UK - probably at some point. I think being able to ping pong is nice gift rather than seeing it as a regret from moving from one place to another

i am inextricably torn when asked "where do you prefer?" we are so lucky in an age when two pasports is acceptable.. the choice of preference is one that i can make based on the moment... if am grateful for what i have today, and the choice, then that allows me to live in that moment |
