While we're at it, let's apply the same rule to people who wear English football jerseys. That should keep a few extremists out of the country.

No this i our country we can wear what we like , NRL/ AFL are the codes that we follow , pommie football stripes are foreign and should be worn only by newly intergrated new chums , untill we can show them the error of there ways...............:rofl:mm

Indeed. Respect for another religion is one thing, but acceptance of extreme doctrine denying the liberties of a person is another flying in the face of cultural values is quite another.

Good on the French. Perhaps the West is indeed learning that not everything labeled in religious wrapping paper should be automatically approved and unchallenged.

I'm all for it. Maybe because I am a woman and I enjoy my freedoms and my career. Imagine not having the freedom to do any of the things that enrich my life! :frown: And further having to live it under a tent. :blink:

Anyhow - I fail to see how forcing women to cover up and depriving them of their freedom has anything to do with religion at all. :sneaky:

It would be a tough bit of legislation to write. The "Extremely Religious Test".

What would it include?

Muslims forcing their wives to wear the full veil.
Christians who deny access to the children if the wife leaves the religion.
Jews who....
etc
