Should Australia consider this ???

Re: Should Australia consider this ???
While we're at it, let's apply the same rule to people who wear English football jerseys. That should keep a few extremists out of the country.

So long as you are prepared to bundle the fookwits who wear NRL/ARL shirts in with that.

Slowly, the west is waking up.
It might not be too late after all. Good on the French. Perhaps the West is indeed learning that not everything labeled in religious wrapping paper should be automatically approved and unchallenged. |

I'm all for it. Maybe because I am a woman and I enjoy my freedoms and my career. Imagine not having the freedom to do any of the things that enrich my life! :frown: And further having to live it under a tent.
Anyhow - I fail to see how forcing women to cover up and depriving them of their freedom has anything to do with religion at all. :sneaky: |

It would be a tough bit of legislation to write. The "Extremely Religious Test".
What would it include? Muslims forcing their wives to wear the full veil. Christians who deny access to the children if the wife leaves the religion. Jews who.... etc |

I think you need to be introduced to the A League. It has been going for a few years now and is very well supported by Australians. It even includes international club competition, which is something that the AFL can only dream of. Just thought I would mention it to save you making a fool of yourself. |

Re: Should Australia consider this ???
Would it bee too much to ask Australia to understand that rather than use the word 'codes', they just call it different name. Everyone I know calls it rugby anyway. AFL, other than being shite, can be called football if they want but as 'soccer' gets bigger, as it will be, confusion will reign even more. It's the football world cup after all.
There's room for all of them. And I will continue to wear my England shirt even more now... As we let Australians wear thier shirts in the UK... |
