Cool Short Gold coast break ... recommendations purlease

Hutch, Mrs Hutch and Hutch-the sprog are planning a short break up to the Gold Coast (to do the theme park thing) and we wanted some accomodation recommendations. Firstly - we're not high-rollers, so boutique hotels are out. We've got no problem staying in a cabin on a camp-site, or in a cheaper hotel as long it's not some skanky flop-house. Over to you guys.

We stayed at the Sea World Nara Resort which is right next to Sea World and you have your own entrance to the theme park so no queues

They often do special deals if you book at the last minute and we think it's perfect for kids there with buffet breakfasts and evening meals and a decent pool. They run buses to the other theme parks too and it's just a short taxi ride into Surfers. The rooms are quite basic but comfortable and if we go back to the Gold Coast we'd probably try to stay there again. Or you could try one of the Big4 caravan parks as they are always highly recommended on here.

Cheers me dear - I'll get on Zuji and see what they've got.

We've just got a cracking deal at the Kupari apartments (4*) in Surfers. 7 nights in a two bed apartment for $600!! Well chuffed!!

Here's the link...oh and we e-mailed them and they gave us a better price than on the internet.

We had a short break in Surfers over Christmas. We stayed in some apartments called Trickett Gardens. They had a great location right off the beach and less than 5 minutes walk to Cavill Ave.

Website is www.trickettgardens.com.au.

Would definitely recommend it
