Shipping wooden bed base
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice...
Packers coming in 3 weeks time and I am not sure what I should do about part of our bed.
Basically we've got a big wrought iron/steel bed that my brother made for us about 7 years ago. To help carry the matress, there is a sheet of 3/4" ply wood between the steel cross runners and the bottom of the matress.
Do you think we will have any problems with the 'wood' import rules if we ship the ply wood base?
Would it be better to paint it so that it looks less like raw wood?
I know I could buy a new piece of wood in Oz, but its less hassle taking the one that it already cut to size.
After all, my TV's made of wooden box and we'll be taking wooden table, chest of draws etc.
