Our relocation company informs me that our container is on a boat which in the last month has repeatedly gone between Liverpool and Antwerp since our belongings were "loaded onto it"
In the last year it has never been to Melbourne, and my wife is concerned what is happening.

.We went with Crown. A bit more expensive, but there was no off-loading in Europe or Singapore (or anywhere else).
Containership went all the way from somewhere in UK (forgotten the name of the port) to Perth.
We were told name of the ship, date and port it left UK from, and expected date of arrival in Perth. It took exactly four weeks from the date it left port UK to arrive in Perth. And ten days later we got the call to say our stuff was ready to be dropped off. It was so quick because Crown have their own clearance facility and they also deliver to your door in Perth (not hire someone else).
If you went with a small outfit: They may have delivered it to a port in UK. It may then sit there for a while before being loaded on a ship. Ship may stop somewhere in Europe. Container gets offloaded, sits a while, then loaded onto next ship. Ship may only go to Singapore. Offloaded again, sits a while, goes onto new ship. Ship might then stop off in Freo (Perth), before going on to Melbourne.
In Melbourne it might have to wait for customs clearance (because your UK removal company has to hire someone to clear your stuff through customs). And then it might take a while longer to be delivered to your house (because your UK removal company has to hire a local removal company to get your stuff from the clearance warehouse and deliver it to you).

That makes me feel a bit better, seeing as we went with Crown too!!
Its frustrating when the website isnt up to date but I guess we will just have to trust them and then if the date arrives and the ship hasn't, we can do the jump up and down routine
Cheers

I'm sure you do think that. I wonder why, therefore, some thosands of other people who have had exactly the same happen to them over the years have not said anything. Do you not think they would have asked the same question?
Ripped off or not - it can happen to anyone and you have no say in the matter...
