Default Shipping UK to Brisbane

Hi although I have shipped small items to and from before- this time we are wanting to ship the contents of our house (3 bedrooms) and a car from England to Brisbane.

Has anyone shipped like this recently from the UK?

If so WHO did you use?

and roughly how much did it COST?

Thanks!

Hi,

You will recieve alot of names here of companies people used and you can almost guarantee for every company you'll hear good and bad stories. My advise would be to check the FIDI website for movers who are certified quality international movers and to get quotes from around 3 companies. Make sure the movers you select would also use a FIDI member in Brisbane if they don't have their own branch there too to guarantee consistently good standards door-to-door.

Make sure they all come out to see you and see your house/belongings as your quote will based on your individual move circumstances - so the "how much did it cost" question will really only give you a ball park here. The "average" 3 bedroom house would normally fill a 20ft container so if you want to take your car too you would likely need a 40ft container.

Make sure you show all the companies the same and give them the same information so that when you get your quotations they are easy to compare on a like for like basis.

Hope that helps but any other questions please just ask!
