Question Shipping question

Hello folks

We are looking to get a laptop shipped out from UK to Brisbane as we are finding that laptops are really expensive here. My dad has bought an Acer laptop for 400 quid in the uk and when you search for the same model in oz we are getting quotes of around $2000.

Anyway I think we are going to get my dad to ship 1 out for us, and were looking to see if anyone had done the same? and, if there are any hidden costs etc? also, can anyone recommend a way to ship this both quickly and cheaply if possible?

Thanks in advance

Mike

It's easy to ship but if the item is new then you will get hit with duty, we ship small items 8kg via DHL, cost £80 to send from UK and Quarantine was $47 Item sent Thursday recieved in Brisbane following Tuesday, you will be charged quarantine fees on top. DHL pay these fees up front then bill you a week later...
