Shipping Question

Hi all
Accepted an offer on our house yesterday and selling the car on Saturday. It's all come at once!
Still in the fairly early stages of the visa app (2 months in) so my question is this.
Since we intend to rent something as small / cheap as possible before we go, we will need to store quite a bit of our stuff, which obviously means getting it packed up when we move out of our house. If we subsequently plan to ship the lot to Oz when the visa arrives, should we
a) pack it ourselves to move out and then get it professionally re-packed by the shippers with our other stuff when we're ready to go
or
b) Pick a shipper now and get it professionally packed first time and stored by them in readiness to add the remaining stuff to it when we go?
All ideas gratefully received
Yours cheerfully
