Hello All,

i am coming over to bunbury at the end of may roundabout, and i am currently sorting out a container dont know much about some things like when we ship over our contents do we have to give them an exact address as we will have to find somewhere to stay as we get over so we cant send it before we leave.

can we say ship to bunbury and once we get there we will find a home adress and then can we tell them where to take it.

You need ti fill in an address and a phone number! Try to fill a friend's address or someone who can let you now when the shipping arrives.

Hi john ,find out who your movers are using in Australia, contact their import controller, he /she will behandling your paper work and act as your contact......mm

Does that mean that you dont need to have a forward address until you have found a house to move into

YES beth, your agent in Australia will have copies of all your relevant documents. ie copies of your pasports ,b534 import decs, and any other paper work that is required.
She /he will process your shipment with Customs & Aqis, and contact you as required.
AUST CUSTOMS prefer this as they are not chasing you all over OZ, always contact your local agent on arrival and give them a contact number......... mm

We were moving to Brisbane and were told by Pickfords we had to give any Aussie address even if it wasn't in same state so we gave Sydney address and shipped to Brisbane.

We found it all very strange, think you just had to know someone.

well it's a big thing there are a lot of thing's tthat are complicated have to double check on everything. and i am SCOTTISH.
