Shipping dvds & Cds
#1
Might sound like a stupid question but,
Has anyone had any experience with shipping Dvds or Cds to Australia. I am a big movie fan and have over 300 dvd and 400 cds getting shipped over. They have been self sealed with the plastic wrapping, a bit like when you buy them original. Will customs open then up and finger them all or will they just go through x-ray.
Thanks.
Peter

We had a shed load of CD's and DVD's shipped over as part of our 15 tea chest size boxes - no problem, the boxes were as we sealed them when they arrived. We used Sevenseas - really pleased with them....

We had quite a few DVDs go "missing", including an expensive Aliens box set, so would suggest you check your Insurance policy and see what the excess is, just in case. Would also see if you could itemise anything thats worth a few quid.

Onto the original point, who's to say that theres not 400+ pirate cd's and dvd's in the boxes.Would be a shame to get busted on your arrival if thats the case.
I think theyd open them or at least some of them to see and if not they'd def be x-rayed.

Thanks for all reply's.
I also have the aliens boxset with the certificate number, might carry that one with me. I've got a company close to me in the north east. I'll just double the replace value on them all.
Once again thanks

Gonna, write EVERY one of them down and get shippers to include it in list instead of 'box of dvds'
Mind you, it gives the thieving b@stards a pick list to choose from, can't win either way, just gotta pray nobody has tempting fingers.

Oh dear,
After reading this thread my partner is very worried as she has the Alien boxsets as well as the motion tracker and the alien head to keep the dvds in!
They'd better not mess with any of our things as she will be totally gutted! We have a few movie props being sent over via Seven Seas and we've itemised everything so hopefully it should be fine.

I'd be mortified if my copy of Aliens went missing - it's my favourite film!
