Talking of dX smopu!M, you'd better warn about hard disks and DVD / CDROM's having to spin in the opposite direction in the southern hemisphere (In a similar fashion to whirlpools) :D . This means that UK PC's have to be placed upside-down to work, which isn't a problem with hard disks but the CDROM cup holder tray gets a bit tricky to load or balance your favourite beverage. :p

Seriously though a good place to look for a cheap PC is on the grays.com.au website, which is where Dell seem to clear their excess stock. But remember to factor in a 12.5% buyers tax, delivery and having to buy a 12 month warranty separately from Dell. And as with all auctions decide on what you are willing to bid up to before you start and don't (as I've seen a few times) bid over retail price because you get carried away (there's always going to be another auction in a couple of weeks). Still you can save a few hundred bucks on retail prices and have everything spinning the right way round ;)

Cheers

Hi, I think one of the main reasons which im taking all my stuff with me is because theyre my stuff and itl help me settle better. I kow what its like being on hols or staying with someone, i cant stand not having my stuff around me. Even the crappy little things i bet youl miss. IM packing pretty much everything, even my tools, teddys, bed linen etc, as im going for a container, going to fill the bugger up. I dont care if i throw stuff out in Auz, but at least il have the option of feeling at home, so as pne post says, just have a bigger think about whether you do indeed want to start afresh, itl cost a packet to boot (much more than a container id bet). Cheers Tony
