Default shipping

Hi
Arrived in Sydney last Thursday, it's a bit of a struggle at the minute but I'm sure it will get better.
Anyway does anyone know if I can tell my removal firm to send out my furniture etc without a final destination address at the minute and maybe in 3 weeks time confirm an address then.
Thanks in advance
Ric

I think there's a law in there somewhere that says they must have a destination address to ship. Can't you use the address of your temporary accomodation, then when you have a proper address give them that? We did something along those lines, though we had our temporary address before we actually flew in and our stuff was on the way before us.

Thats right, we used our motels address and then updated our details each time we moved. Pickfords couldn't get their heads round it though and were delivering our container to the first motels address we gave them.

Crown were good with us. We even moved house (unexpectedly) FOUR DAYS before our stuff was due to be delivered but it was no drama. For them anyway

It takes 6-8 weeks at sea, then there's the time it stands on the dock / clearing customs at either end, etc.
