I'm taking the easily cleanable ones and giving the old dirty ones away. (power tools)

Hubby spent hours cleaning all of his tools, he's a mechanic so you can imagine how many there were to be done plus a large snap-on toolbox. Lots of WD40 was used plus all of his sockets & a few of the larger tools went through the dishwasher :o Did a pretty good job on shifting & loosening off a lot of the grime which saved him some time. I think he'd have put a lot more in there but it wasn't something he'd considered doing until I suggested it.

Hi,

anybody who as already shipped, can u help me.

we've not got many things from the garden to put in container, 2 large plant pots...never been used, and an iron parasol base, which has a bit of rust on it. Is rust ok? The push bikes also ave a bit of rust on them.(from being in a damp shed and lack of use, which we hope to change)

Got other things from the garden but thier all cleaned up and ready to go.

Thanks

Hayley

After reading on here about painting over rust I asked Doree's about it. We were told it doesn't matter & doesn't need to be painted just make sure everything is clean. Rust is only really a problem if it's likely to rub against something else & leave rust marks on it.

We were also told, by Crown, that rust isn't a problem - just give everything a clean.

Wouldn't you get a bit wet trying to hold a socket & pressure wash it?

Me too!

2.30 pm and they have finished 3/4 of the place!

They have finished for today and done:-

2 x upstairs bedrooms (except for our large sliding door cupboard which we will dismantle tonight)
Downstairs bedroom
Office / music room
Kitchen
Utility room
Lounge (except for TV/DVD and cabinet and sofa).

Still to do:

Some outside stuff and shed (mostly empty now).

I can't believe how fast they did it all.

They recon 3 hours tomorrow morning and then the container arrives for loading.

That's fast work! I bet it's a strange feeling to have 3/4 of your house packed up. And it'll feel even stranger tomorrow when everythings gone and there's the four of you in echoingly empty rooms. :D

But for now it's time for you to sit down and enjoy a beer ...Before it gets warm!
