Default Shells

..canthey be taken into Australia - I have some that I bought on holiday there last year - can I take them back.

I assume that shells and pebbles collected from british beaches over the years are a no-no, what about shop bought ones

thanks
Deb

I had some pictures with shells and sand in them that I gave away before coming as I didn't think I could bring them. When our shipping arrived I found the kids trinket boxes that are covered in shells, that i'd forgotten about. They hadn't been touched by customs as they were in a box marked toys so if I were you I would just pack them anyway and not worry about it.
Good luck with your move,
Deb.

They should be fine - make sure they are washed and clean and don't have any remnants of seaweed of creatures in them though!

I had a couple that I had bought in mexico and the shippers just wrapped them and put them in with 'household ornaments'
