if i could find the pootah cable for my digital camera i would post up the one picture i took before my camera battery died!!
hey debs.....mum isnt too bad today. The only thing is, I had a horrible confrontation with the nursing staff.....mums been in over 2 weeks and her mouth is in a disgusting state - I just went beserk! in nearly 20 years as a nurse i have never seen such an apalling mouth....they reckon she is having 4 times a day mouthcare.....imagine the worse state you can imagine, thats my mums mouth. Im ashamed to be associated with the profession the ward manager and senior sister were very apologetic and have asked me to put my complaint in writing.....where do i start with that one!??
on the plus side, she is starting to speak a little!!! yay!!!!!!!
still too unstable to transfer....has a raging temp (durrr...5 cxr's in a day wont help)....now 7th day on cef and met, so not sure what they are going to do next. (I was going to suggest.....but thought better of it) the sister and doc ummed and ahed and decided it MAY be a chest infection again...or a uti. they werent sure if anyone had done a csu.....I just shook my head and walked away.

Your post hit a nerve with me, put a complaint in, this type of thing on the ward makes me bloody mad
As a nurse we can all symathise with our colleague, workload, stress, etc, but the only way to change these and ease these as far as I can see is the complaints system, it is also there to prove more staff and resources are needed.
Once again, sympathies to you and i truly hope things are better today
