Default Setting up a house in Aus costs so far..

Here goes.... So far the total cost i think is around $4000. I am sure that more seasoned expats will be making clucking noises when they see where i have bought the bits and pieces from. But i really couldnt be arsed driving around in the hope of saving a couple of dollars.

As other people have mentioned though you can barter, and it does work for instance when i was buying the matresses the actual price should have been
$2400, i managed to get them for $1845!!

You're welcome.

I did send karma earlier but not sure if it worked because the system was messing about.

$1845 for a single mattress? :scared:
The rest sounds about right though.
