Sending PCCs with Visa application

Sending PCCs with Visa application
Hi Folks,
we will be submitting our visa application this week :scared: and were wondering whether we should send our PCCs with the application and if so do we send the originals or certified copies?
We were also wondering about the photo's we need to send, do they need to be the same quality as those required for passports. We all had ours done this week. The ones for my eldest daughter (she's 6) have turned out to be very bright, probably too bright to be acceptable for a passport application. Should we err on the side of caution and get these retaken?
Thanks, Loz

Re: Sending PCCs with Visa application
Hi Loz,
Will can help with some questions ...
Send original police form - can't be copied as the blue line doesn't come through - but do take a copy for your files.
Depends on which visa - police checks only valid for 1 yr so might be worth hanging on to although 1 yr starts from date on letter.
Photos are as per passport - but wouldn't say whether too bright or not would make a difference - I'd say not but £3.50 isn't a lot for another set.
Good luck!
It's nice once its all sent!

[QUOTE=jothefw]Hi Loz,
When we send of our application form do we have to send the originally documents ie passports etc. I would be just a Little worried about our passport getting lost.
Also when you are sending off your application, what means do you use? Ie Special delivery?
Thanks
Julie

NOOOOOO! Don't send passports! Need to get certified copies of those. Do a search on certifying to get everyones thoughts on that!
We sent ours Royal Mail International Signed for and whilst some of here give bad press ours were all well delivered and cheaper than DHL or others.

When you mean certified, it is just copies? Also when your application form is accepted, do they send back all your documents?

We'll be using International Signed For from the Post Office when we send the visa application.

I'll be taking my little girl to get photo's done again.
We will enclose the original PCCs in with the visa application. If it looks like they're going to expire we will order some more. I think mine were dated May 2006 so hopefully visa will be sorted by the time the year's up.
Cheers, Loz
