Question Sending boxes over?

Hi everybody,
We want to send a couple of boxes over to OZ before we go,but how do you go about it? probably a thick question i know!
We want to send our photos & some other personal stuff,i collect Cherish teddy ornaments n stuff like that.
Do you just fill an ordinary cardboard box,or buy one specially from the post office?
Can you use bubble wrap to wrap things in?
Do you list the contents in the box?
Do you seal the box securely or will they want proof of contents?
Do you send it from the post office or use a company,if a company, can anyone recomend one?
Im not talking a mega large box about medium sized.
Thanks for your help,
Donna.
