Default Self-Employment Advice

Can anyone advise me what I might need to know regarding setting up my own Joinery Business in South Australia. I have my own business here and dont currently have any employees. I have looked into public liability insurance, accountants, advertising etc. What else do I need to know? Also what should I be informed about should I also choose to employ trades, ie licensing etc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

What sort of stuff do you need to know? You seem to have covered all the bases already?

You register a business name... http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/Bu...ess_names.html (NSW)

Apply for ABN... http://www.abr.gov.au/ABR_BC/

You get me to set a website up and design your stationery... and then you're good to go!!

As mines a home based business I'd expect you have a lot more to consider than I have... public liability being one of them which you're obviously already aware of.

Hopefully a tradie will come along and help you out too
