Default Self employed in Oz?

Does anyone know if it is possible to go over to Oz and be self employed? For example, hire yourself out to a company as a masseur. Will the three month rule still apply?

As long as you have the correct visa. Also you have to register with the local council and you'll need to check out their health and safety issues etc. Oh and insurance of course!

From the mention of a 3 month rule, i take it you are going over as a working holidaymaker?

I would have thought you could do casual work....but....

You may need a tax file number.
You may also need to prove that you are working to support your traveling, not to make profit. Thats the proviso for working on a WHV.
