We are now considering the various house builders around Perth - there are quite a few.

Content Living has plenty to offer in our budget.

Anyone used them or have any comments on Content Living?

we used them as have some friends

would i use them again?

no, probably choose country builders instead!

didnt have any major hassles as such (unlike friends) just felt some of the workmanship was a bit crap.

still, you get what you pay for and it was a cheap build which suited us at the time.

Cant comment on Content Living but we are building at the min with Scott Parks and so far I would highly recommend them. They have been noting but professional from the very start. Everything done on the day they stated or before. No delays, no hidden charges. When we went to pre-start there was no pressure or surprise's. We aren't finished yet but so far excellent service.

We had a look at Scott Park - quality seems better for a few dollars more (not the grand range though).

Are you looking at a 12month build timescale? I see you are in Carramar - thats where our plot is.

We are renting in Carramar but our land is over in Aston Heights (Tapping).
The slab was poured on Feb 1st and all going well they reckon about 26 weeks from then. So far it all seems to be going as planned

Hi we are also building in Ashton Heights, have bricks going up at the mo, building with New Generation who are part of the Summit group and have had no probs so far, always very helpful and efficient HB

what is your generall opinion of the ozzy builder

So far I would say (only having looked in show homes) that the basic (sticker) price does not reflect the actual price you need to pay. Doors on cupboards are extra etc.

We have walked around some cracking showhomes, then the one we can consider is the lower model - don't get this & that. We were a little shocked that skirting boards are not included.

Quality i'm not so sure of yet, size yes - almost 3 times our old home in the UK.

Hi Tracie! That's funny we must be right behind you, in Coolidge!! We were down from Geraldton last w/e to have a look, can't believe how much building goes on between our visits!! We're hoping to move down around Oct - you'll have to come for a barbie

Size is fantastic, I agree 3 x our UK home size!

Quality is OK.... like I said you get what you pay for, go cheap then dont expect top quality.

Having said that we are pretty happy with ours, had a few minor issues but nothing major. Our main issue was when they subcontracted out the aircon and they went through a pipe and never told anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and we had a plumber fall through the ceiling, but that's another story.........

Your on, seen as we're neighbors and all!! Looking at your other posts we have a few things in common too, I'm a nurse and OH is a transit guard thinking of joining WAPOL.
We only go over to see ours once a week and there is always a noticeable change each week. Our 26 weeks will be up around Aug but we have always planned for around Oct as well.
If you dont get down that often and you want me to take some photos for you just let me know, I'm over there every week with the camera anyway!
