Default SE QLD 4WD trip

Fellow 4wders

There have been a few posts in the 4wd for under $20K thread indicating an interest in a 4wd trip.

So, post your interest here... was thinking of maybe a camping trip to fraser or something similar.

Cheers,
Mark.

would love to-we're moving over (from Perth) in three weeks. It may be too soon for us as we can't and won't put the dogs in kennels so soon ! But maybe the next time ??

For those not done the beach 4wd ing... then Rainbow has to be the place to go.

Id be up for it.. but prefer a weekend camp.. for those that wanna camp..

We have a spare 4by if anyone hasnt got one, and can lend it out... i stole battery out of her for my ute lol.. but can soon fix that

All you need is:

a cheap 2 man tent
some aeroguard
an esky fulla ice, 24 beers and a pack of bacon
2 sleeping bags or a doona or a sheet..
a torch
some sunblock for yourself or the kids

and thats about it.

rainbow costs about 7 bucks a night to camp on the beach
ferry over is about 5 bucks each way

drive 40k up beach to the town, go pub for lunch, get some grog from bottlo, have a walk around.. drive back before hi tide... light a camp fire on the beach...
do some moonlight fishing ( never caught fkall, but then im shite at fishing )

have a few grogs, whack some music on, play some charades or whatever... and a good ole natter..

Beats the shit out of WESTON SUPER MARE ! or MAIRD as wife called it

sounds good to me,Although might be a bit soon thou, as i havent got there yet. All our stuff wont be there until January sometime and i have to find a Toyota Prado in about 5 weeks time.
just itching to go out 4 wheeling, Frazer island is a great place ive been twice there staying at Kingfisher bay resort, and in a day i only got up to the maheeno wreck all to do with the tides.

Good idea mate.
