Ditto, looking forward to seeing Sandra and family when we get to Oz. Also, Karen from the Dundee meet. Hopefully we'll get together with Ginny (stitch) too for that Scottish Lassies Day Out in Sydney too that we've promised to do at some point.

Hi Gill,
getting there, stressed oot to say the least. Got commonwealth acc open, booked doree bonner in , booked go walkabout for travel ins, notified child benefit and inland revenue for p85, confirmed extra baggage allowance today, but still a zillion things to do, still have not signed on dotted line for house sale, the wifey does not want a bride and loan and cant agree to the intial date stipulated as she has not had an offer yet on her house, been hounding her all week, booked leaving party and all thing, for 3rd dec. Everything but the final house arrangments, we did accept her offer but trying to get her to bring date forward. Friend we are staying with in Langwarrin when arrive has said will go to toysrus and pick up the xmas gifts and wrap them, god bless her, overwhelmed about their support, thank goodness we have it.Had any word back from application yet, any case officer yet?

OMG, I'm tired just reading that. Please let me know if there's ANYTHING at all I can do to help. That's great that you've got such good support. Esp at Xmas, it'll make all the difference.

No word here. Acknowledgements are mega deayed at DIMA right now and 3 weeks in we haven't even had that, or a CC charge. Looks like it's going to be a loonnggggg wait.

We had Dorree Bonner round for a quote. Seemed a good company to deal with. Our friends who emigrated at the start of the year used them too and said they were really good.

Fingers crossed your buyer signs soon.

See you next week.

Looks like we have a similar problem. Buyer of our house wont commit to a date as they havent sold. They have until Friday(thats been 4 weeks) then i'll force them to name a date instead of us being flexible. If not ill probably stick it back up for sale with a fixed date of entry.
We cant book our dogs quarantine until we get an Oz address and we cant get that as we dont know when we will get there...What can i say, circle of life lol.
At least we know who we're using to ship ect so its not all bad, just frustrating.

We're looking forward to meeting everyone too.

Brian and Julie :) :)

Nurofen and a pint of water at bedtime does wonders.Lol.

I'll pop into Walkabout Mon or Tues and get a bit reserved for about 20 people.
Looking forward to chatting to people in the same boat instead of family and friends for a change. :)
