Default schools in Wynnum Manly Lota

Please could anybody give me advice on their own experience of schools in Wynnum Lota and Manly - there seems, according to you lot, good and bad... Which ones have strict catchment areas as I can only find catchment map for Manly SS??
Our daughter will begin year 1 in january - bright bubbily child no special needs ...
also have a son who needs a playgroup - he is 3- does anyone have recommendations???

many thanks

Helen

Hi Helen ...
I will send you a more detailed pm as we have personal experience of some of the schools you've mentioned. Results for all schools can be found here ...

I think the reason you can only find a catchment for Manly is that it has a particularly good reputation and has had to restrict its numbers due to demand for places. Regarding the playgroup .... a few mums I know have children at the Motherduck childcare centre at Manly and talk highly of their experiences of it but it could well be long day care and I have no idea about it personally.

Here's the catchment for Manly State School http://education.qld.gov.au/schools/...s/manly-ss.pdf If you live within it, they have to take your kids.
