Default Schools on the sunshine coast

Hi!

We are going to the Sunshine Coast in the beginning of October.

Can anyone recomend a good school there?

I have two daughters -- 7 and 3 and half years old -- and school will be one of the most important thing when we are looking at places to live.

Thanks!!

Lili

There are 2 state schools that in particular have good reputations, unfortunately because of this they both have zones (catchment areas)

Mountain Creek High School in Mountain creek (near Buderim/ Maroochydore way)
and

Talara primary College Currimundi.

The zones are quite strict and you have to get a rental in the area and show your contract.

Most of the primarys around here people seem happy with. Concerns seem to arise more at high school level which is year 8 and above.

pm me if you want more info.

Does anyone know or have heard anything about the Tewantin state school ?? Their website has it sounding quite good (but then again that is it's purpose!).

Also, is it difficult to get younger children (4 yrs) into pre-school or are the schools required to take all the children in the area as for regular school.

thanks

Those are state schools, right? How about private schools?
